Angie Lau x Time Action Volunteer Meetup a Success

– May 2nd, 2018 –

Time Auction attendees volunteered a total of 206 hours for the opportunity to sit down with Angie, and ask a few questions or two to their favourite former TV anchor, broadcaster and business thought leader.  Time Auction is so grateful for Angie‘s support from the very beginning, and its founders Suet Yi Wong and Fion Leung learn something new every time.  It’s the second time Angie has given of her time to Time Auction, an organisation that allows people to use their volunteer hours to “pay” for access to some of the top minds and inspirational speakers in Hong Kong.  In this unique movement, Time Auction is inspiring volunteerism by rewarding hours with access to top leaders in industry, philanthropy, entertainment, sports, academics — who generously donate their time to keep inspiring others.

It was a sold-out event, and if the logistics allowed, Time Auction would have accommodated Angie‘s waiting list!  But part of the experience as well, is an intimate and one-to-one access with speakers.  Angie‘s attendees volunteered more than 200 hours to the community of Hong Kong.

Angie‘s contribution doesn’t end here, she will continue to volunteer her personal time to be an advisor to Time Auction, with Suet Yi and Fion’s goal of turning it into a global movement!  It is said that to give is to receive.  That is never more true than with Time Auction, inspiring volunteerism by providing access to inspirational speakers and leaders.  It is the gift we give ourselves.

“Thank you for the generosity to mentor us. I think I can handle rejections better. When we can’t push the world in some ways, my ears will now ring “don’t outsource your dreams”. And will spread this tips to my fellow entrepreneurs.” –  K.Y.

“Your sharing is really inspiring and make to reflect upon my current situation, how I can develop myself in where I am now and bring more values in the future for even better things.” – S.S.

Style Influencers, Fashion Industry Leaders, Hong Kong Women Embrace
Angie Lau x Isabella Wren Capsule Collection

– April 18th, 2018 –

A party that launched a thousand hits.

To borrow a phrase, Isabella Wren turned fashion on its head as it continues to marry innovation with style.  More than 200 of Hong Kong’s most fashion-forward women (and their supporting men) crowded into Ce La Vi, in the heart of Hong Kong, to celebrate the launch of Isabella Wren’s first capsule collection ever.  Collaborating with Angie Lau, former TV anchor and style star, Isabella Wren launched the exclusive luxury line Angie Lau x Isabella Wren for Spring/ Summer 2018.  The designer impressed the crowd, dressed head to toe in her own line: Angie Lau paired the lavender waistcoat with the navy tunic and ivory wide pant, cinched with the beautiful lavender Obi belt.

A launch party that offered fashion-seeking crowd its pop-up fix; complete with a measurement station, pieces from the exclusive Angie Lau x Isabella Wren Capsule collection, and of course goodie bags complete with a $100 USD gift certificate to use on www.isabellawren.com for a tailored, made-to-measure, bespoke pieces from Angie’s collection.

As Angie remarked to the crowd last night, “This was inspired by all the women I know, at every stage of their lives: mother, mid-career, fresh graduate, jet-setter, traveler.  This collection is all about versatility and colour.  It’s powerful!”  Sarah Chessis, CEO of Isabella Wren, couldn’t agree more, “It’s why I didn’t think twice about working with Angie.  Isabella Wren is all those things to women and more!  We use innovation to make it easy for our clients to always look good, because it fits perfectly.”

Fashion sustainability was also top of mind for the socially-minded guests in the crowd.  With unique innovation, Isabella Wren whips up each piece only as it is ordered.  That means there is no waste, no excess inventory, and no guilt.  This was welcomed wholeheartedly by Hong Kong’s fashion industry leaders who also came out to support the collection: Clover Group, Under Armour, HKDTC, Lane Crawford, Li & Fung, just to name a few.

Some of Hong Kong’s top stylists along with media friends were also on hand to check out the collection which all go together that highlighted the philosophy behind the line: #VersatilityIsTheNewBlack.  In exquisite Italian wool, jackets lined in silk, beautiful silk jacquard prints — the pieces are as comfortable as they are glamorous.  In short: all the things a well-dressed woman wants for Spring/Summer for any and every occasion.  It’s luxury redefined: bespoke, stylish, versatile, and sustainable.
