Mobile World Congress is the world’s largest exhibition on the mobile industry. Angie hosted the inaugural Blockchain Summit in the MWC 2019 conference to explore blockchain technology and its use cases in telecommunications and impact on the economy. She also led the 4YFN Fireside Chat on the “Future Tech Trends in China” talk with PwC China’s Financial Services Consulting Leader, James Chang.
Symphony Innovate Asia

Symphony Innovate Asia 2019 brought together experts from all industries in the APAC community to discuss the topics of secure collaboration and workflow automation. Angie served as a moderator for the day’s events and also led a discussion panel with SGX’s Head of Technology, Tinku Gupta.

Angie moderated the panel discussion “#WhoMadeMyClothes? – How Sustainability is Changing the Face of Fashion,” where industry leaders shared their insights on sustainability, fashion, and diversity. The panel’s guest speakers included Charlotte Jude (VP of Communication, Kering Asia Pacific), Kay Liu (Education Director, Redress), and Sarah Fung (Founder, Hula).

Angie participated in the “Launching Your Career” workshop, where she shared her personal advice on how to kickstart a media career in this evolving media environment and what skills are needed to navigate the media landscape.

The Investor’s Forum selects a guest city to showcase their startup ecosystem. For their 2019 edition, Angie represented the city of Hong Kong and spoke on the topic “It Takes a Global Village: How to Raise Your Startup in the International Market.” Her speech highlighted how impactful the startup ecosystem in Asia is becoming, and identified the main differences between the Asian and European startup scenes.
Paris Blockchain Summit Week (PBWS)
April 16-17, 2019
Angie moderated the International Regulatory Cooperation for the Development of Financial Innovation panel at the Paris Blockchain Week Summit with speakers Caroline Malcolm (OECD), Marius Jurgilas (Bank of Lithuania), Michael Gill (CFTC), and Giles Ward (IOSCO). More than 1,700 entrepreneurs, investors, and media from all around the world attended PBWS.
Hong Kong Blockchain Week

At Hong Kong’s Blockchain Week, Angie kicked off the conference by moderating the lead panel: “Power. Governance. Blockchain” that explored the role of regulators and governments in blockchain. A powerful theme that must be balanced by the view that the rights and interests of the every person must be held with equal weight. Angie provided that editorial balance.

Binance Blockchain Week

Binance, one of the world’s leading crypto-exchanges in the world, and lead by CZ (Changpeng Zhao) whom Forbes placed third on their list of “The Richest People in Cryptocurrency” kicked off their inaugural Binance blockchain week summit in Singapore. Angie served as emcee, moderator, and on-stage interviewer for the conference that attracted 2000 of the top minds and leaders in blockchain and cryptocurrency in the world.

Angie served as both emcee and moderator for a number of panels throughout the day — helping contribute to the thought leadership at AMTD to guide in the coming year.
